Peach Aventurine Natural Rough Piece.

These rough Aventurine pieces are a peach to orange colour with some minor brown staining and/or grey areas. Minor sparkly aventurescence in some areas in the light. Good to A Grade.

 

GEOLOGICAL

Aventurine is a silicon dioxide mineral. It is translucent Quartz crystal with inclusions of tiny flakes or specks of various minerals that give it a sparkly in the light. This sparkle is referred to as ‘aventurescence’. It was named in 1837 after the Italian word “a Ventura”, which means “by chance”.

Colour variances among the different inclusions are a result of the quantity, distribution and quality within the Quartz matrix. Green Aventurine is formed with tiny flakes of Fuchsite, a green Chromium rich Mica.
