GEOLOGICAL:

Girasol is the trade name given to clear to milky star Quartz containing Aluminium. This creates a gentle opalescent glow in the stone. It’s mined in Madagascar and Brazil.

Many different names abound for Girasol! Other names the material is known by include Girasol Opal, Girasol Quartz, Moon Opal, Opalized Quartz, Star Quartz and Pearl Quartz.
