White material with some small blue flashes, and black Tourmaline inclusions as well as some minor pale blue Aquamarine inclusions in some pieces. From India. Good to A Grade. 

Note that not all pieces will display flash as is the nature of tumbled stones. But all the stones are from the same Rainbow Moonstone rough material. 

 

Geological:

Rainbow Moonstone is actually a white to translucent Labradorite and not a true ‘Moonstone’, despite both being Feldspars. The Feldspars are divided into 2 broad categories: Plagioclase, which contains calcium and sodium; and Orthoclase, which contains potassium.

Labradorite and Rainbow Moonstone are Plagioclases, while true Moonstone is an Orthoclase. The beautiful ‘flashes’ that you can find on some stones is a phenomenon called ‘labradorescence’. Different twinning surfaces within the stone reflect different colours of light. In white Labradorite, it is mostly blue.
