This large polished geode egg is dark and mysterious, with a beautiful crystalline interior. Photos almost can’t do it justice. Perfectly suits the Dragon legend surrounding this unique combination of minerals. From Madagascar. Very Good to A Grade Size approx 15.5cm. Weight approx 1.7KG.

 

GEOLOGICAL

Septerye is a combination of caramel brown Limestone patches surrounded by dark chocolate brown Aragonite borders / veins and lemon yellow Calcite. Also known as Septarian, it is a type of sedimentary geode formed on ancient sea floors during the Cretaceous period 50-70 million years ago.

The name ‘Dragonstone’ is from a Malagasy legend in Madagascar, where Septerye originates, that these special stones formed from the fossilized remains of Dragons!
